Monstrous Productions raise another £2000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK

A stage adaptation of Terry Prachett’s Wyrd Sisters by Monstrous Productions has raised over £2000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

The production, sponsored by NCMH, was performed at The Gate Arts Centre in Cardiff by the Monstrous Productions Theatre Company, and directed by former NCMH field team member Amy Davies. The four day run was nearly a sell-out and the reviews very positive.

“I don’t know how they did it, but with no scenery and very few props, just the odd table or teapot, the Monstrous Productions Theatre Company managed to magic up the Discworld. The entire cast did an amazing job, with many or them bringing multiple roles to life.” said Adam Walker on WalesOnline.

The success of the play, which follows productions of Carpe Jugulum and Mort, brings the total raised for Alzheimer’s Research UK to over £7000.

Next up is the adaptation of Witches Abroad, the twelfth book in the Discworld series, planned to run between 8th and 11th April 2015.
