Help with our autism research

About this study

We are a research group based in the Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences in Cardiff University’s School of Medicine, working with the National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) and dedicated to understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

You are being asked to take part in a research study within NCMH. This page gives you important information about the study. It explains the reason we are offering the study and the possible reasons why you might want to take part.

We would be grateful if you would consider taking part in our research investigating co-occurring mental health problems in ASD.

What will I have to do?

Taking part is voluntary: it’s up to you to choose if you want to sign up.

In brief, taking part in this research will involve researchers sending you a short series of questionnaires to complete at home.

These will be analysed in combination with data you have already submitted to NCMH. The questionnaires should take less than 15 minutes to complete, and then can be sent back to the study team.

A small number of participants may be asked to complete a further set of questions and assessments as part of a linked study looking at psychosis. We will explain more about this process if you are selected, and taking part is voluntary.
