Cardiff University podcast returns to announce launch of nationwide study

The Piece of Mind podcast relaunched earlier this month to announce a new nationwide study into the causes of mental health conditions and cognitive disorders like dementia.

Hosted by our Communications Manager Catrin Hopkins, on this episode we were joined by NCMH Research Champion Dave Brown to discuss his experience of bipolar disorder with UK Minds Project Manager, Holly Pearce.

“Let’s share our experiences to help future generations with their mental ill-health. The wider we can spread the word, about this research, the better.” – Dave Brown

UK Minds is a nationwide study in collaboration with Akrivia Health, which aims to develop a large database of information through interviews and genetic (blood samples) linked with anonymised NHS records in order to help researchers further their understanding of dementia and specific mental health conditions.
